Effective 6/24/19
: The Fifth Circuit will no longer accept bar renewals in paper. All bar renewals must be submitted electronically. Please see the below sections for further instruction.
5th CIRCUIT BAR RENEWAL NOTIFICATIONS
Members of the Fifth Circuit bar must apply for readmission every five years. Notices to renew membership will be sent via email to the primary email address on file in the Fifth Circuit. Attorneys are responsible for ensuring their primary email address and mailing address information is up-to-date in this court for accurate and timely delivery of notices. To avoid having our renewal notice to you identified as spam or junk mail, please be sure to add this sender to your contact list:

The Fifth Circuit accepts electronic payment of fees through Pacer. To pay a renewal fee attorneys must register with this court as an electronic filer via the Pacer Service Center. Click

To renew your membership with the Fifth Circuit Bar, please do the following:
Log in to
CM/ECF
. (If you do not already have a CM/ECF e-filer account, you must register for one via
Pacer
.)
From the Utilities Menu option in CM/ECF, select 'Bar Renewal' and follow the on-screen instructions.
CM/ECF will automatically direct you to Pacer's online payment process. Fees may be paid by credit card,
debit card, or electronic check.
Upon successful completion of the payment process, a notice will be automatically generated to the Fifth Circuit for
processing of the renewal.
